The Veterinary Wound Library

The Veterinary Wound Library is delighted to announce the launch a new interactive Wednesday Wound Club to be held at 1pm on the 1st Wednesday of the month starting on the 3rd of August 2022.

Georgie Hollis, Vet Wound Library Founder and well known wound care enthusiast will host the series of 6 lunchtime sessions that are FREE to attend and open to Vets and nurses.

Each episode will run for just 45 minutes made up of 3 sections made up of a real case that provides a thought provoking challenge, an insight into the purpose and practical use of a common wound therapy, and an answer to a frequently asked question.

Each episode will feature:

A challenging case managed in first opinion practice with a little bit of help from others. We’ll be covering initial presentation, challenges in care and outcomes. Honest learning experiences will be shared, what could be done differently and the resources available that might help others with similar cases.

A therapy summary: exploring the purpose and correct use of a generic product or therapy such as the format and role of hydrogels. Presented by Georgie Hollis. It’s her specialised subject!

A question answered: With the help of specialists we will research and answer a commonly asked question that relates to the case, species involved and therapy area.

Our first sessions will feature some thought provoking and challenging cases coupled with their incredible outcomes. From ‘Dave the Pug’ to ‘Fire Cat’ and ‘Holy Moly foal’ each case will be presented by the clinicians who managed them as they share the journey they faced, the support they required and the incredible outcomes they achieved.

If you miss a live episode, don’t worry. We will host them all to watch on demand within the Vet Wound Library member area along with 50+ hours of specialist led webinars across small, exotic and equine wound management.

Individual membership of the VWL is just £90 per year, or just £9.00 per month with the option to unsubscribe at any time. Practice membership at £390 per year (+VAT) gives access to the whole team (one address) and includes access to over 50 hours of specialist led wound management webinars and resources that are dedicated to helping you heal.
