Double promotion at Anderson Moores referral centre
Hampshire animal hospital Anderson Moores has announced the promotion of two specialist clinicians to head of service roles.
Ed Ives has been appointed as new head of neurology and neurosurgery, with Amanda Paul taking over from David Walker as the new head of internal medicine.
Ed, an RCVS and EBVS specialist in veterinary neurology, has worked in the practice since 2015, while Amanda, also an RCVS and EBVS specialist in internal medicine, joined the hospital in 2016. David Walker will remain in post as the practice’s hospital director, and also stay part of the medicine team.

Anderson Moores, which serves the Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex areas, recently joined Linnaeus, following the group’s acquisition of Pets at Home’s specialist division.
Ed said, “I’m delighted to be taking over as head of neurology and neurosurgery. I’ve been at Anderson Moores for more than five years and have loved seeing the neurology service grow into the fantastic team we now have.
“My goal will be to support that team so we can continue to provide an exceptional standard of care for the patients we see, their owners, and our referring vets.”
Amanda added, “I look forward to taking on the head of internal medicine role and continuing to support and build on the skills and reputation of the medicine team here at Anderson Moores.
“I aim to maintain the vision of a successful resident programme, support team development and deliver medicine at the forefront of veterinary science.”
David said, “Ed has played a significant role in the growth of our neurology department, and we’re delighted to see him leading the service. His experience, passion and dedication will make him an exceptional team leader.
“Over the last four years, Amanda and I have worked very closely together to develop the fantastic medicine team that we have today. Amanda is an outstanding leader and clinician and I am confident that, under her guidance, the team will continue to provide our clients and their pets with an incredible service.”
