VDS Veterinary Graduate Support Day tickets released

Veterinary graduates from 2019 and 2020 can enjoy a day of connection, support and solidarity whilst gaining six hours of CPD.

This year’s VDS Veterinary Graduate Support Day will take place on Saturday 2 October 2021. It has been a challenging year for graduates and starting in practice can feel both exciting and overwhelming. The online event offers the opportunity to catch up with classmates, network and create new connections whilst exploring the challenges faced in the first 18 months in practice.

This year’s event takes place on Saturday 2 October 2021

Run by The Veterinary Defence Society (VDS), The event will also give attendees the chance to learn from experts, with insights from the VDS team and the profession more widely.

Commenting on a previous VDS Graduate reunion event, a delegate reflected: “Catching up with colleagues, hearing about their difficulties and realising we are all in the same boat was so valuable, it didn’t feel like six hours CPD.”

Organised by the VDS, the virtual event will be expertly led by the VDS Training team, where veterinary graduates will have the chance to practise their skills with real-life actors and talk to heads of key veterinary organisations – with input and advice from experienced practitioners from the BVA, RCVS, VMG, BSAVA, SPVS and SPVS Educational Trust.

The CPD element of the event uses professional role players, who bring challenging vet/client situations that veterinary graduates may face in practice, which can then be discussed by the audience.

Ticket holders will also have access to a digital delegate bag with exclusive content from VDS training, supporters and sponsors.

Tickets are £35 and can be purchased via bit.ly/VDSGraduateSupportDay2021 or alternatively, for further information, contact info@vds-training.co.uk
