Davies Wins Sustainability Business and Individual Influencer of the Year

Davies Veterinary Specialists (Davies) has won two major national awards at the Investors in the Environment (iiE) Awards, against stiff competition from non-veterinary UK business sectors.

Davies achieved a first for the veterinary profession by winning Sustainability Influencer Business of the Year 2020. Davies’ green pioneer Ellie West was also recognised as Sustainability Influencer Individual of the Year. The awards were announced at the iiE Awards on 8 October 2020 on the event’s 10th anniversary.

iiE is an external environmental accreditation scheme created to help businesses assess and reduce their environmental impact by implementing an environmental management system. It includes high-level audit criteria being met, and setting reduction targets, followed by an ongoing auditing process

Davies was given Green level accreditation from Investors in iiE last year, the highest level awarded, and received Green reaccreditation earlier this month.

Davies Veterinary Specialist has won two major national awards at the Investors in the Environment Awards.

“Winning these awards has been an exceptional team effort across the business, driven by our highly motivated and enthusiastic Green Group, led by Rachel Evans,” said Tim Richardson, Managing Director of Davies. “The determination of everyone to keep pushing for better and better sustainability performance is admirable and I am proud to be a part of such an amazing team. Special congratulations to Ellie, who initiated the project back in 2017 and strives constantly to improve against the iiE criteria.”

Davies was also proud to sponsor the Natural Environment Champion at the iiE Awards, which was won by the Manchester NHS Trust.
