Commenting on her new role, she said: “I am a passionate advocate of lifelong learning and enjoy applying the experience I have gained in practice to assist veterinary professionals to achieve their potential. I have joined Improve at an exciting time and am looking forward to the challenges of delivering postgraduate qualifications in the ever-changing field of veterinary education.”

She continued: “As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of distance learning courses is unleashing levels of creativity and accessibility not previously seen within the profession. These exciting programmes will offer delegates access to high quality distance learning created by field specialists and help them to achieve postgraduate qualifications any time, any place, anywhere.”

She added: “We are acutely aware of the effect of these difficult times on veterinary students in particular and, with this in mind, we are conducting some research to explore how we might be able to support them with extracurricular CPD. We are also considering establishing a Student Ambassador scheme.”
