Virbac are delighted to announce their sponsorship of The Great British Dog Walk, an annual event held in aid of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People that sees 20 dog walks planned at picturesque locations across the UK with the final walk taking place at Wimpole Hall, Cambridgeshire on 1st July.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People train dogs to alert deaf people to sounds they would otherwise miss and that many people take for granted like the doorbell, alarm clock and even danger signals like the fire alarm. Being aware of these sounds – thanks to a hearing dog – makes a real difference to the lives of deaf people, through a newfound sense of confidence and independence, and in some cases can be genuinely life-saving.
‘Virbac are delighted to be able to support a charity which truly champions the life changing effect that pets can have on our lives’ said Andrew Connolly, Head of Marketing for Companion Animals at Virbac. ‘We are especially looking forward to meeting lots of dogs (and their owners) at our local walk at Ickworth Park in Suffolk on 5th May’.
Each walk provides a fun day out for families and their dogs and is a great way to help raise funds for this amazing charity. At each walk there will be a free doggie bandana for every adult ticket purchased, fun activities, refreshments and gift stalls to enjoy. Walkers will also have the opportunity to meet some of the working hearing dogs on the walks.
