VISIT FROM LEADING AMERICAN NEUROLOGIST IS A HUGE SUCCESS
Vets in the north west have benefited from an exclusive talk by one of America’s leading specialists in animal neurology.
Theresa Pancotto, assistant professor in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the college of veterinary medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, shared her knowledge during an event at Northwest Surgeons in Cheshire.
Vets who attended also enjoyed a tour of the hospital’s facilities and presentations from Theresa and Northwest Surgeons’ Neurologist, Lorenzo Golini.
Theresa said: “Visiting Northwest Surgeons was a brilliant experience for me. It was a fantastic opportunity for vets to come together and learn from one another.
“Northwest Surgeons’ facilities are very impressive and it was wonderful to see so many vets attending the event, getting involved and asking questions.
“I am passionate about my veterinary field, so thoroughly enjoyed being able to share my knowledge with vets who have similar interests in neurology.
“I hope everyone enjoyed listening to my experiences as much as I loved sharing them, and hope they were all able to take something away from my presentation.”
Specialist veterinary surgeon at Northwest Surgeons, Matt Gurney, said: “Everyone at Northwest Surgeons was delighted with the success of the event.
“Theresa gave an excellent presentation. She is such an esteemed veterinary specialist, with a wealth of knowledge across the fields of neurology and neurosurgery; we were lucky to welcome her into our referral hospital.
“It was lovely to see so many vets making the most of this great opportunity and we hope everyone who came learnt something new.”
