Noel Fitzpatrick ‘In Conversation’ at SPVS/VPMA Congress 2016

Noel Fitzpatrick ‘In Conversation’ at SPVS/VPMA Congress 2016

Professor Noel Fitzpatrick will appear at the SPVS/VPMA Congress to be held at Celtic Manor on 29/30 January.  Noel will be ‘In Conversation’ with Martin Whiting, lecturer in ethics at the RVC and will delve into a career that has taken him from Irish childhood to Professor of Orthopaedics, founder of Fitzpatrick Referrals, prodigious author and thought leader.

Noel Fitzpatrick is both inspirational and controversial in the eyes of many.  Few would question that his orthopaedic and neurology work has been both brilliant and life saving.  Anyone close to him will tell you he is a dedicated workaholic who believes passionately in the sanctity of life.  By introducing new surgical techniques to move veterinary (and human) medicine forward, he is able to offer more choices to owners.

Programmes like the BBC’s Bionic Vet and Channel 4’s Super Vet may, some argue, raise expectations among pet owners as to what the average vet practice can do.  These are the areas that will be explored in this hour long ‘conversation’ in a format borrowed from literary festivals. There will be an opportunity for the audience to submit their questions from the floor.

SPVS/VPMA Congress grows in popularity year on year.  The Exhibition is now sold out and we are delighted to announce that Merial will be our new Platinum sponsor alongside Citation.
