Vétoquinol Offers £2000 Bursary to Veterinary Nurses
Vétoquinol, the company behind Zylkène, which contains a natural product derived from casein and used to help pets cope when facing unusual or unpredictable situations, is offering a £2,000 bursary to a veterinary nurse keen to apply a more holistic approach to their work and to their practice.
Helen Walker, Product Manager at Vétoquinol explains: ‘Veterinary nurses hold a vital position in vet practices, and this bursary is intended to help nurses extend their knowledge and further their career in animal behaviour. Encouraging practice nurses to undertake training in animal behaviour can significantly benefit both the individual and their practice.’
Introducing behavioural training can have a variety of benefits to veterinary practices, including increased income, safer pet handling for staff, client loyalty and more relaxed handling of animals.
The bursary is available for any Centre of Applied Pet Ethology (COAPE) courses, which include the Diploma Programme in Companion Animal Behaviour and the Training and Certificate in Canine Veterinary Training.
Veterinary nurses can apply by filling in an application form explaining their reasons for furthering their career in animal behaviour and what they hope to achieve on completion of the course. Applications must be in by 30 September 2013.
To receive an application form, call 01280 825492.
