NEW VETS4PETS PRACTICE IN GRANTHAM OPENED WITH A LITTLE BIT OF HELP FROM CELEBRITY DUO ASHLEIGH AND PUDSEY

On the 4^th August, Vets4Pets Grantham opened its doors to the local community. Owner and Vet James Cook; cut the ribbon to his new practice with a little help from Ashleigh and Pudsey, who then delighted the crowds with one of their many great routines.

“I’m really excited about being associated with a great brand like Vets4Pets – I’m not convinced if I’d held an open day as an independent I’d be able to get Ashleigh and Pudsey to cut the ribbon with me!”  said James.

James studied at Cambridge, where he met his wife who is also a Vet. He began his career in mixed animal practice but was soon drawn towards the small animal side. Enjoying problem solving and with a keen interest in cardiology James began to seek more and more career development opportunities and sought the ability to treat his patients in what he felt was the best way.

James explains why he wanted to Joint Venture; “I decided to start up my own practice because I wanted to provide exceptional care for animals, without the restrictions enforced by an employer. I want to run a family feel practice that treats people’s pets as if they’re our own”.

“The whole process of Joint Venturing with Vets4Pets and Companion Care is very open and honest I felt reassured every step of the way, the recent merger doesn’t seem to have phased the project teams at all ”added James

The Gala Open Day, was a hit with the local community complete with a tour of the new practice, competitions, face painting and of course a performance from Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey.

“We wish James the best of luck in his new business and of course look forward to working with and supporting him for years to come. The practice is off to a fantastic start and we will work very hard with James to keep that momentum going.” Mark Welch, Group Operations Director, Companion Care and Vets4Pets.
