Hamilton Specialist Referrals guarantees TPLO surgeries

State-of-the-art veterinary hospital, Hamilton Specialist Referrals (HSR), is guaranteeing all tibial plateau levelling osteotomies (TPLO) for one year post-operatively from the beginning of March. This industry-leading move reflects the level of expertise on offer from the team of four RCVS and European orthopaedics specialists at Hamilton Referrals, in High Wycombe. The hospital’s latest expansion welcomed Dr Andy Craig, Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons ECVS and an RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Surgery, further strengthening the renowned orthopaedics service which has recently performed their 1000th TPLO.

Managing Director, Clare Hamilton, explains: “TPLOs are one of a handful of surgeries where outcome is reasonably predictable given the right process takes place in terms of assessment, surgical protocols and rehabilitation. We feel we have ticked all those boxes and we are very confident of our surgical outcomes based on our track record of over 1000 TPLO procedures. Therefore, we are prepared to meet all costs in the unlikely event of a surgical breakdown, giving owners and referring vets that extra peace of mind when they entrust their pets to us.”

Hamilton Specialist Referrals recently doubled their hospital premises and has increased their caseload, while reducing waiting times for appointments. This is relieving pressure on referring vets and providing reassurance for pet owners. The orthopaedics service is now able to offer all patients TPLO surgery within two weeks of a referral being requested.

Hamilton Specialist Referrals now has the largest dedicated orthopaedic specialist teams within a 50-mile radius, and their specialists have almost 60 years of combined veterinary experience.

Michael Hamilton, Clinical Director says, “The orthopaedics service at HSR is world-class and supported by a strong multi-disciplinary team. This includes other specialists, including board-certified anaesthetists, and a highly experienced team of physiotherapists and hydrotherapists. This ensures that patients receive the very highest standards of care from admission to discharge and post-op rehab plans.” Veterinary professionals can make a TPLO referral here and get in touch for full Ts and Cs on the TPLO Guarantee at  https://bit.ly/HSR-Referrals.
