New Courses from Improve International

Veterinary CPD specialist Improve International has announced two new courses at its recently opened state-of-the-art wet-lab practical training facility in Sheffield.
The first is a two-day course on Feline Dentistry led by Bob Partridge BVM&S Dipl EVDC MRCVS, a Recognised European and RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry. The course blends lectures and wet-lab sessions to help delegates to develop dental radiographic skills and to identify and manage cases of periodontal disease, tooth resorption, chronic gingivostomatitis, oro-facial pain syndrome, oral tumours and facial trauma. The programme also includes a session on developing dentistry in practice from a business perspective. The course will take place on 17-18 July 2018.
The second, a two-day course on Arthroscopy, led by Nick MacDonald BVetMed MVM CertSAS DipECVS MRCVS, will take place on 4-5 September 2018. The course will equip delegates with the practical knowledge and skills they need to add arthroscopy to their diagnostic and therapeutic armoury, with plenty of time spent in the wet-lab getting hands-on experience of how to approach the main joints of both forelimb and hindlimb.
Improve International is one of the UK’s leading veterinary training companies with a 20-year track record in providing structured continuing professional development (CPD) to veterinary professionals. It works closely with its assessment partner, ESVPS, and Harper Adams University, which provides the higher education body quality assurance, in running programmes covering a growing range of practice disciplines.
Commenting on the launch of the new courses, Improve’s Mrs Juliet Pope said: “We believe our new facility in Sheffield to be the most advanced veterinary training facility in the north of the UK. It is an ideal venue for these two highly practical courses covering challenging areas of veterinary medicine which first opinion practitioners face in practice.”
