Latest Modules in Veterinary Forensic Science CPD Series launched on Vetacademy

The latest modules in the first online CPD series covering veterinary forensic science and animal crime scene investigation have been added to the wide selection of online training available on Vetacademy.

The new modules in the series entitled NAVC Vetfolio Veterinary Forensic Science and Medicine and Animal CSI cover zoo, aquatic and exotic animal cases, as well as demonstrating practical techniques for crime scene investigation, including how to process the scene and to collect evidence and samples.  Speakers include Melinda Merck, DVM, a distinguished forensic veterinarian and author of Veterinary Forensics: Animal Cruelty Investigations, 2^nd edition.  Topics covered in the earlier modules include how to recognise abuse and neglect and forensic entomology.

“There is a critical need for the veterinary healthcare team to be prepared to address these issues on a global basis,” said Melinda Merck, DVM.  “These on-demand courses are taught by recognised experts in their field, providing the essential education to address the roles that a veterinarian or nurse might encounter.”
