Bursaries for Veterinary Evidence Today: The 2016 EBVM Conference Announced

RCVS Knowledge runs a series of events throughout the year, in order to broaden the reach of Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine (EBVM) in both the veterinary and allied community, by providing must-have information to keep up-to-date with the theory and practice of EBVM. Veterinary Evidence Today: The 2016 EBVM Network conference is an unrivalled event within the veterinary calendar, where the international veterinary community can meet to share progress and discuss challenges in evidence-based practice. The conference will be held in the heart of beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland 1st – 3rd November.

Over 250 attendees are expected from all sectors of the profession and from all around the world. They will include veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses, paraprofessionals, industry representatives, and indeed anyone with an interest or passion for the subject. There will also be an exciting exhibition, showcasing some of the industry leading companies and organisations.

RCVS Knowledge is committed to making its conferences accessible to all members of the veterinary community – as such – there are a range of bursaries available for Veterinary Evidence Today 2016. The bursary packages are targeted at:

  • Veterinary Students
    • Veterinary Nurses
    • Those returning to practice
    • Information Specialists, and
    • Veterinary Surgeons in their first 5 years of practice.

Each bursary holder will be asked to contribute towards a fit-for-publication Knowledge Summary (CAT) to Veterinary Evidence – the new online resource – by September 2016. In exchange for this, not only will bursary holders be granted travel and subsistence expenses, but they will also receive an access-all-areas conference ticket.

Applications will close on the 1st June 2016. Please visit: vetoday.org for more information.
