Norbrook Laboratories Ltd signs up to PetSavers £200 Project
PetSavers is delighted that Norbrook Laboratories Ltd, has signed up as its latest partner in its £200 Project.
Norbrook, a global leader in the development of veterinary and animal health medicines, is now part of a growing group of PetSavers fundraisers from across the UK committed to raising £200 during this 40th anniversary year.
PetSavers launched the fundraising initiative at the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) Congress in April – and it is inspiring pet owners, veterinary practices and now businesses to help fund vital clinical research and training programmes that will help save the lives of the pets we love.
Chris Geddes MRCVS, Senior Project Manager for Norbrook Laboratories Ltd, said: “Norbrook are delighted to be the first company from the veterinary industry to support PetSavers’ £200 Project. Their stringent selection procedure for allocating their funds, with a number of clinicians and a pet owners on their committee, means that the funding will go towards research that adds a real benefit to our animal companions.”
“We fully support their aim of improving the lives of pets by relieving the distress and pain caused by diseases for which there are currently no effective treatment, which they have had great success in doing over the last 40 years.”
“There are many organisations out there that aim to prevent cruelty to animals, but not many with the aim of increasing scientific knowledge in order to improve the lives of well cared-for pets with conditions that are currently challenging to treat. I would encourage everyone with an interest the welfare of pets to consider making a donation or purchasing some of the excellent products.”
Pedro Martín Bartolomé, Chairman of PetSavers Management Committee, said: “We are delighted to welcome Norbrook to the £200 Project. PetSavers’ work has greatly improved the health of pets over the last forty years but our biggest challenge is now to secure regular income that will allow us to plan for the future.”
