bsava.com gets bigger and better
When the new version of bsava.com went live in October a news item about a recent rabies case in The Netherlands received over 5000 hits 48 hours, demonstrating that the veterinary profession values accurate information based on scientific evidence. This is exactly what the new website for the British Small Animal Veterinary Association seeks to offer, not just news, but advice and support materials that are truly valuable to vets and VNs in practice.
Creating a website that will meet the needs of more than 9000 members all over the world is quite a challenge. The BSAVA believes that it has made a giant leap in meeting that challenge with the launch of the new version of bsava.com – offering a wider-range of resources, and making it much easier to find them.
The new website puts users in control with MyBSAVA – greatly enhanced from the previous site, so you can quickly access and update account information, view purchases, buy publications and complete your personalised CPD record. The Knowledge Vault is a new section inside MyBSAVA which allows users to download and view favourite content. This will be an increasingly important area as BSAVA embarks on its ambitious project to increase its range of digital material in the coming years.
All the important, much-valued content remains – including JSAP, companion and the Congress lecture archive, as well as invaluable support material such as position statements and advice on everything from antibiotic use to zoonotic diseases.
All visitors to bsava.com will see a vast improvement in their ability to access the content and as BSAVA develops its overseas membership the website will become a vital point from which to access the benefits available wherever you are in the world. All members and those previously registered with the website have been emailed with details about how to take advantage of the new site. If you have any questions about your registration please email administration@bsava.com – and visit bsava.com today.
