Vetpol launches first CPD session for SQPs and vet nurses

On Friday 10^th September 2021, Vetpol is launching its first Companion Animal CPD session. The session, which is titled ‘Munch & Learn’, is an online programme which aims to be educational and enjoyable.

The CPD has been designed specifically for SQPs and vet nurses working both retail and practice settings. The lineup has been announced to include high profile speakers, such as Wendy Nevins, Past-President of BVNA, Georgie Hollis of Vet Wound Library fame and Sally Harmer, SQP trainer and consultant. 

Speakers will be covering a wide range of interesting topics from rabbit welfare, nutrition, caring for elderly cats, communication and more.

The event will start at 9am, with presentations running across three different virtual rooms throughout the day, so delegates can dip in and out of sessions as they please. For those unable to attend all day, the content will be available for 12 weeks after the event has finished, so delegates can watch sessions back at a time convenient for them. 

Attendees will also be given opportunities to engage with event partners and exhibitors, asking any questions they may have regarding specific products and services, as well as taking advantage of event offers and getting involved with competitions along the way.

Munch & Learn has been set up through Vetpol, which offers a well-established online training and regulations of SQPs.

Vetpol Founder and Director, Caroline Johnson explained how Vetpol had thought a lot about launching a virtual event, giving consideration for zoom fatigue after over a year of being online. 

She explained: “Our team felt that offering a virtual event with an emphasis on quality, interaction and fun would be both time efficient for delegates and provide some of the buzz one might expect at a face-to-face event. 

“Alongside our Partners offering competitions and prizes, we plan to give delegates access to first-class CPD that will be of value in their professional roles – and also a day to remember.

“We are expecting a good turnout and trust that delegates will feel more than just visitors, but feel part of the day itself!”
