The warmer weather brings an abundance of pet parasites meaning a potential increased risk of accidental pet poisoning from ecto/endoparasiticide medications.
TVM UK, the innovative animal health company has added two new anti-parasiticide related guidelines to help vets deal with intoxication from Pyrethrins (commonly found in flea control products or ant powders) and Macrocyclic Lactones (poisoning most often occurs due to accidental ingestion of large animal anthelmintic products). Both intoxications are commonly associated with severe neurological symptoms.
The easy to follow guidelines offer clear, concise advice on treating animals with suspected or confirmed intoxications and complement TVM UK’s current comprehensive set of free poisoning guidelines.
