Hawthorn Veterinary Surgeries, West Sussex, is proud to announce that their Henfield branch is to relocate from its current premises on the outskirts of the village into one of the most prominent locations in Henfield village centre.
The new premises will see the practice expand into 3 consulting rooms, 2 theatres and separate dog and cat areas and wards. The new branch will also house state of the art equipment that will include a dental Xray, individual heated kennels, laparascopy (keyhole surgery), a full laboratory suite, digital x-ray and ultrasound. It will also provide clients with a private car park.
‘The new Henfield branch will become our main practice, with the Partridge Green Surgery remaining in the same location’ said Jonathan Underwood BVetMed MRCVS, who owns Hawthorn Veterinary Surgeries along with his wife and fellow vet Annelise Underwood. ‘There is a lot of local support for the project as there are three empty banks in the town centre and it is positive that a local business has taken on one of the buildings’.
The new Hawthorn Veterinary Centre will host an open day on Sunday 17th November, which will take the form an animal themed local event called “VetFest Henfield”. The event will run from 11am to 2pm and offer guided tours of the new practice alongside a range of activities and attractions.
‘We have invited local businesses to get involved in the form of stands and stalls, and the event is also in aid of charity.’ added Jonathan. ‘We have lots of attractions planned that include balloon modelling, with free balloons for all, a Teddy Bear hospital and raffle. All money raised will be split between the retired Greyhound Trust and Paws and Claws.’
The new Hawthorn Veterinary practice officially opens its doors on Monday 18th November when author Peter James will cut the ribbon at around 12.30pm!
